Shared Space

On May 8, I will join Anna Gadt Quartet at MDK in Mikołów, as part of Mikołowskie Dni Muzyki.

The program brings together a selection of songs that have shaped the language of contemporary jazz vocal expression, including works associated with Shirley Horn, Joni Mitchell, Carla Bley and Jimmy Rowles. These pieces serve as a point of departure for a more open, interpretative approach.

The quartet features musicians long connected with Anna Gadt’s artistic path: Maciej Garbowski (double bass) and Krzysztof Gradziuk (drums). Their shared experience creates a framework that allows for both precision and openness.

My participation in this project marks a return to a collaborative setting that places emphasis on listening, interaction and collective form.
